SUPER RARE Schmidt Rubin 1911 Leather Ammo Pouch w/ Harness May 1st 2013, 11:35 Category: Sports & Outdoors Vendor: very rare Product Description : This is a very rare ammunition pouch harness originally issued to Swiss military bicycle and horse mounted soldiers. It was manufactured between 1920 and 1930, and was used until around 1970. The used brown leather harness has six pockets, each pocket would hold two loaded six round 7.5 x 55 stripper clips. This type of ammo pouch was worn around the waist and shoulder, and secured by the adjustable strap and buckle. It also includes a secondary strap, which secured the rifle across the soldiers back while riding the bicycle. The original manufacturer's markings and dates are visible. It can be oiled or reconditioned if desired. It is in fair to good used condition considering its age and history.
